What do we offer?
Children and families can come along to play group sessions throughout the school year. We run morning and afternoon sessions. Some sessions will have a focus, for example, messy play, sensory sessions or physical development. Every session will include a ‘sing and sign’ time. We will use Makaton signing to support children’s language development.
Children will have access to a healthy snack during their session, and parents will be able to safely enjoy a hot drink and a biscuit! We will be planning activities for the children, based on developmental milestones from the Birth to 5 Matters document. This is what underpins that learning in early years.
When will the sessions run?
We will be putting on 3 sessions each day, from Monday to Thursday.
Morning sessions: 8.45-10.15am and 10.30-12.00pm
Afternoon sessions: 1.15 - 2.30pm
Parents are required to stay with their child for the whole session.
What do I need to bring?
All of our sessions are free of charge to attend, with a small donation asked for snacks and hot drinks.
During the sessions, we ask for dummies to be removed, enabling your child to have good quality interactions with staff and parents.
This will also be a mobile phone free session, ensuring your child has your full attention.
There will be a designated buggy park during the sessions.
Please ensure you bring spare clothes, nappies and wipes for your child. There will be changing facilities in the toilets for you to access.
