Rights Respecting Schools

During the autumn term of 2021, Rouge Bouillon School began the journey to becoming a UNICEF Rights Respecting School.  This means that we are embedding the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child within all that we do, from our curriculum content to our corridor displays.

In December 2021, we were judged to have met all of the criteria to meet the standard for Rights Committed, and we were awarded our Rights Respecting School (Bronze award). We are working hard to add to our ‘Bronze’ status and become a ‘Silver’ status Rights Respecting School.  To achieve the Silver Award, we have to show good progress towards embedding children’s rights in our school policies, practises and ethos.

We look forward to sharing the next steps on the Rights Respecting Journey with you.
